May 2010 New Zealand Trip Report

Recently got back from a great trip to New Zealand. We visited both the North and South Islands over 2 weeks. This forum was quite helpful in planning the trip. Our trip included Rotorua, Wellington, Fox Glacier, Tauranga Bay, Queenstown, Te Anau, Milford Sound, and Doubtful Sound.
Trip report with photos is posted here:

I'm enjoying reading this, lbr. I particularly like the family appearances in the photos. It really helps to personalise the report.

Lovely report Ibr, and those photos - fantastic!

Sky diving, bungy jumping, paragliding AND ledge jumping...you crazy, crazy man.

Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us - I wanna go back!

BTW - any details on that cottage in Arrowtown?

Loved your report. I'm planning our second visit to Queenstown now. Of the scary stuff, what was your favorite experience and by that, I don't mean that which frightened you the most. Last time, we played it pretty conservative - didn't jump off anything.

Thanks everyone.

Wherenow, you should try the bungee (The Ledge) in Queenstown, that was my favorite. Skydiving in Glenorchy was great too.

sollyuk, so glad you topped this post! What a fabulous blog! It's nearly the same trip I have planned (except for all the bungee jumping--yikes!) Thanks to lbr for sharing.

Thanks for sharing! We're planning a trip in March 2011 and your South Island itinerary is similar to much of ours, so this was quite helpful. I'm making note of the various pizza recommendations as well!
