What are your interests? Where else in Australia are you going? How much time do you have? I would say Tasmania is most worthwhile if you like good food and the outdoors and even history. Hard to recommend without more info.

Interested in some places that not be explored too much, sightseeing, trek, and so on. Not so sure about historical attraction there. Any suggestion?

I am going to visit there for a week in Oct.

I’m not sure what you mean by “not explored”. Tasmania receives a fair amount of tourists and you will likely see other tourists. May I suggest you take a look at some guidebooks and see what interests you? There are reports from other visitors who’ve been to Tasmania, including me. Take a look and see what most interests you.

The most visited places include:

Hobart
Port Arthur / Tasman Peninsula
Bruny Island
Huon Valley
Freycinet National Park
Maria Island
Cradle Mountain
Launceston

There’s also King Island, which is more isolated.

“Is there anything interesting in Tasmania?” Not a thing. Pass on by.

As for wanting to see “ unexplored” parts on your first visit - it’s ALL unexplored by you.

As TP suggested, get a guide book, have a look at the websites and/or the FAQs here - and decide what interests you. Or, pass on by.

Absolutely nothing of interest. I can't work out why all these tourists and Australians go there.

Useless question!
