Is the service at the Hayman Island Resort bad?
We are going to Australia and New Zealand in October and Hayman Island is one of our destinations. I was just reading some traveler reviews on the resort and a few of them said the service was horrible and that the staff there "got it all wrong". I thought it was supposed to be a great place to go and now I'm having second thoughts! Does anyone have any advice on whether this is a good place to stay or not?? It's too pricey to deal with bad service!

We stayed there for three nights last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. We skipped the orientation tour on our first afternoon and later regretted that because it would have helped us to find some of the activity areas that we later struggled with. It is expensive, but it is a lovely bit of luxury for a treat.

Hayman Island does have very mixed reviews on Trip Advisor, some are pretty awful. So can understand OP's reason for asking here.
Personally I wouldn't know, couldn't afford it anyway; but have only heard the best reports from people I've spoken to who have stayed there.
