Anyone stayed at PLANTATION ISLAND RESORT?

We are planning to stay at the plantation resort in February 2005, anyone have any info on what to do? where to go, which accomodations to stay in, we have two teenage children. Two years ago we stayed at the Shangri-la resort, it was great, we also went on the cruise on Blue Lagoon. We appreciate all your info.

We have stayed there a couple of times and enjoyed it . The island is more laid back than some others . We like it because we just vegetate...swim, sunbake, walk around the island, eat , drink, read and generally relax. There is no disco scene etc so your teens might be a bit bored. There is another place to stay on the island but the name escapes me. It is within walking distance from the Plantation Island Resort and has a good restaurant and I think they may even have entertainment.Have fun!

Have stayed there too, ages ago. Great for young kids, not too sure about teens - word of warning - if you give your laundry to staff make sure you allow several days to have it returned. Ours was still flapping on the clothes line of another island as we were leaving - they finally sent a boat for it when we were on other boat going back to mainland - so we had a boat-to-boat laundry hand-over at sea.

If you want information on Plantation I'd suggest you visit the Fiji forum at www.tripadvisor.com. Pub-7 has gone there 14 (?) times. He knows everything there is about Plantation.

Since the OP first posted this query in 2004 - he/she has probably been and gone by now!
