Is 85 AUD a good price?
is that a good price for one way air fare Sydney to Melbourne?
Not sure what "good prices" are so don't know whether to book or not.
Also, what about Brisbane to Cairns?
and Cairns to Sydney?
What would be considered a good price range that I should look for?
Thanks for your help.

I recently booked a flight from Brisbane to Cairns on the Qantas website for AUS$151. Look for the Red e-Deals. I just did a search on that website for Sydney-Melbourne, and couldn't find anything lower than $118, so $85 seems like a good deal. Is that through Virgin Blue?

Hi JIW,
I just got back from Australia a few days ago and I booked a one way from Syd to Melb under the Qantas Red-eDeals for the same price of A$85. It's about as cheap as it gets. Virgin is about the same price or A$1 cheaper but the Qantas aircraft is bigger, a lot more comfortable and they serve you some snacks on the 45 minute flight which isn't too bad a deal for that extra A$1!
