Great Ocean Road/Weather in Mid-October

I will be in Melbourne around October 20th and am considering taking an overnight tour on the Great Ocean Road. Can you please advise me if the weather is usually sunny at that time of year,or is there a good chance of overcast and rain/drizzle along the Great Ocean Road.

Gosh, trying to work out the weather on the Great Ocean Road in October is a bit difficult. October is our springtime and traditionally the time when we get a lot of rain but parts of western Victoria are having a drought at the moment and there hasn't been much rain through the winter. You could be really lucky and get sunshine but on the other hand......
I'd give it a go - the scenery is spectacular and you may be able to do some whale watching at that time.
