downloading cameras in new zealand

We have a 3 wk NZ trip in March 2010. We will not be travelling with a computer. What suggestions are out there, for when our memory card gets filled and needs to be downloaded. Thank you for helping this technically challenged tourist.

I'd just take the card to a camera shop and get them to transfer the contents to a CD.

I'd buy a second memory card. They are available at the duty free shops, and don't cost much. Otherwise, do as Neil suggests.

Almost any drugstore or general store can download the memory to a CD. You may also find internet cafes or even the computers in your hotel may have a card reader and you can download to a USB flash drive (which are a lot cheaper than the memory cards for my camera, anyway). Especially if you have xD memory I would recommend bringing the cable for the camera just in case.

Agree with Peter_S_Aus.
An additional memory card is cheap and you will not have to take valuable time away from sightseeing to download the pictures at a camera shop or wherever.

mlgb, when you say "drugstore" you mean a pharmacy, right?

mlgb - 's OK. I was just wondering if NZ had adopted the term while I wasn't watching!
