Circle Pacific and Qantas 'Air Pass'

I have been trying to plot out a 'Circle the Pacific' (one World or Star Alliance) route that featured Australia and New Zealand, but make a few interesting stops on the way to and from the South Paciific. Anyone put together such a trip they wish to share?

I am also having trouble when trying to get connections which cover Ayers Rock, Alice Town, and Cairnes... anytips on how to package this part of the trip?

Try putting Round the World Ticket in the search box above. There is a thread in the Air Travel forum started Apr. 2012 in which Gardyloo (resident expert on all things air related) gives lots of info regarding RTW and circle flights. It is very comprehensive and may make things more confusing at first, but will probably answer questions you never thought to ask.

You'll do better if you use Alice Springs instead of "Alice Town"

And Cairns not Cairnes

From www.ayersrockresort.com.au/getting/ :

Both Jetstar and Virgin Australia fly directly into Ayers Rock Airport from Sydney, Virgin Australia flies daily and Jetstar operates 4 flights per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday).

Qantas operates daily flights to Ayers Rock Airport via Alice Springs from Sydney. Qantas also offers direct flights from Cairns and Alice Springs.

All three airlines offer connecting flights from most capital cities to Ayers Rock Airport.

International guests may like to consider a Qantas Aussie AirPass for a more convenient way to include Ayers Rock (Uluru) in their itinerary.

As an alternative, discover the Red Centre with a fly-drive itinerary. Tiger Airways offers direct flights to Alice Springs from both Sydney and Melbourne. Alice Springs is a 4.5 hour drive to Ayers Rock.

Alice Springs to Ayers Rock Resort is a 1 hour flight or a 4.5 hour drive (450kms).

For the air-pass schedules use the Multi-City feature at www.qantas.com.au/travel/airlines/air-pass/us/en
