Airfare Within Australia
I've made some last minute reservations for flights for our trip to Australia in early February 2005.
Does US$802 per person ($1604 total for 2) sound about right for us to fly from Sydney to Alice Springs, Alice Springs to Cairns, and from Cairns to Sydney?
We're using Qantas. I know about Virgin Blue and Jet Star, but the avalaibility and times of flights wasn't as good as Qantas.

Yes.
I ran your itinerary through the ITA Software website ( www.itasoftware.com/ ), and it does not appear that you could get anything cheaper on Qantas.

Thanks, Judy.
I was somewhat worried because I knew that there some cheaper fares out there for certain legs of the trip, but, like I said, the times of the flights were realy bad, i e, late at night, early in the morning, etc.
Thanks again.

Go to www.qantas.com.au and do a search for flights and prices on each sector and that will give you the definative answer.
