Can someone recommend cheaper accommodation in airlie beach! I'm looking for something clean with private amenities for around the $70 a night. Is this possible?
Thanking you in advance

Have only stayed at top class accom here but saying that there are a lot of great looking backpackers accom & great meal accom packages as well.
If this isn't your scene do a search under Airlie Beach Tourism or accom & I'm sure you will find something suitable. Sunlover holidays also have some good rates for more then one night. Enjoy.

Have you considered staying in a cabin in a caravan park. You'll get all the amenities - private bathroom, kitchen facilities, swimming pool etc. Check out www.toptouristparks.com.au or big4.com.au for parks and prices.

The Youth Hostel there is a converted motel and offers rooms with ensuite showers etc for around $50 for two. It's a clean YH and well situated, they are also happy to look after your bags if you happen to wish to go sailing round the Whitsundays (which, frankly, you'd be mad not to).
