Kewarra Beach Resort is in very quiet location with lovely established tropical gardens and is on beachfront.

Its Polynesian style, not at all flash (no marble 'n' glass, or swimout pools), and the design, whilst maybe somewhat old-fashioned suits the tropics admirably.

Tours would all pick up at door, but do be aware that there's nothing near the resort except residences, so, without a car, you'd be limited to eating at the resort. With a car (or taxi) its only a short drive to Palm Cove to its north, or Trinity Beach to its south. Both have a good choice of eateries.

Try the Novatel at Palm Cove. They have a shuttle service to pick up/drop off at airport and also to Downtown Cairns. Nice beachside restaurants nearby walking distance.
