Best way to spend a day in Pago Pago
We do not want to buy the ridiculously expensive excisions from the cruise line. We are happy to go to a nice beach, do a little shopping or visit a significant attraction in Pago Pago. First timers. Ages mid 60's to early 70s but active. We will be there in Mid November. I would really appreciate any unbiased and helpful info.

We've been to Pago Pago three times on cruises. There is usually a market at the dock, plus another market further towards the shopping area, plus a very pretty little church. There is a small museum along the way and Pago Pago also has a marine centre a few minutes walk from the dock which is open to visitors. Most of our photos of Pago Pago seem to be of the buses which are a tourist sight in themselves.
