Bindi gave such a wonderful speech and it always brings tears to my eyes to watch it. Steve Irwin's legacy is not only as a Wildlife Warrior, but in his little Bindi as well. We shall miss him very much. Lisey

What an extraordinary child! There is some worry that she might be overly encouraged to take over eventually from Dad. I hope not and I guess if she is as sensible at 8 as she seems to be , then she will be able to make up her own mind about that.

I was driving to work when they played that on the radio.
My son just gave me a sidways glance because tears were running down my cheeks.

I tortured myself and watched it on every channel and cried and cried.

That little girl has not come to terms with her terrible loss as any parent who saw the tribute will be aware.

She was so close to her father that the loss will be crushing for her when it finally hits home.
