Hey Libretto,
Couple of suggestions to get you to Cairns for May 28th:
1. Order a bottle of Krug or whatever libation will do the trick before take off and drown the vertigo.
2. Come up here & we'll do a "Thelma & Louise" (without the cliff) in my cousin's old Holden ute.
None of this coastal stuff - we'll take the bush track up through Moree, Goondiwindi, Emerald, Clermont ... stop off here & there to see friends & rellies. Probably take us a week & we'll have a collection of bush yarns, a dozen emu eggs & some saltbush lamb for the GTG.
Wouldn't that be a hoot?

(without the cliff)
Which reminds me - unfortunately, this year that's probably the case! Fairly certain the date or the rates are not going to fit with current events, but I wish everyone a great, if slightly fuzzy in retrospect, time.
With regards
Cliff

I said early on if the GTG was in Cairns I would run a tour of the Atherton Tablelands for Fodorites at cost. I have now taken a part time job which would preclude that being on the Friday. If it was to be the Sunday I would have to abstain from drink on the Saturday as a zero blood alcohol limit is needed if there are enough for a bus. So the questions are:-
1. Is anybody interested in a day tour of the Atherton Tablelands?
2. Would they be able to do it on the Monday or is Sunday prefered?
If you don't want to post your responses here you can email me at alan at alanswildlifetours.com.au

Well, I've been dreading having to post this for about 3 weeks now.
I CAN'T MAKE THE GTG! I'm quite a bit gutted. I started a new job three weeks ago and the company I now work for conduct various workshop courses throughout the year. The next course on the Gold Coast is the same weekend as our GTG and I am expected to go to the workshops to see how they run etc and to help running the event, of course.
I really like the job and have fitted in very well so that's all good but of course, as you know, I got the GTG ball rolling and now I can't attend.
I hope you all understand but hope you all have a beautiful, wonderful GTG in Cairns.
Of course, I'm not going anywhere so will still be around on Fodors but maybe just not as often. I am working full time which I haven't done for a while and travelling a bit so I get a wee bit pooped by the end of the week.
Things may change but I doubt it so please all have a wonderful time together and hopefully I'll be able to make the one after!
