Why the hell do you play cricket in the middle of the night?
It was 4am before that last test finished. Not too clever at the coal face that day!

A/D you are quite right, white kit is specifically for playing by the light of the moon, just like dancing,eating mince and slices of quince.
However as the ball is the deepest darkest nightime red, specially designed for british eyes only, only some Aussies can see it. (those that have convict ancestors).
This is the strategy we have to win the ashes, but I think we need another strategy. I suggest getting shane arrested might do it, and now Ricky has an action man scar maybe he can go away to the land where the bong tree grows and star in the latest Action Man movie, maybe then we will be sure of the ashes.

AND 20 Mill Aussies are praying for Glen McGrath to be fit, Gilchrist, Hayden, Ponting, Martyn, et all will find their form and last but not least that those Bl...dy umpires will buy new set of glasses or use the 3rd Umpire for iffy outs.

Ponting, Schmonting. Why is it they they use the 3rd umpire sometimes and not all times when there is doubt. Either we should accept the decision of the umpire only with no 3rd umpire or use the 3rd umpire all the time and only use umpired to stop fights and feet going over the line. This isn't a fun Sunday afternoon get to gether its the pride of Nations at stake.

More than ever I'm regretting having to cancel my trip there. I was due to be in London for the final test, and had discussed getting tickets with a London cricket tragic mate.
I don't think my nerves (or my boss) can take another 5 all-night cricket sessions on the edge of the seat.
As Liz said - we're all praying for Oooh-Aahhh Glenn McGrath. And <sorry> - hoping that Welsh lad Simon Jones remains injured.
And Mucky - you're not even English - what happened to the proud Welsh - Six Nations champions. Supporting England? Really!
And speaking of 6-nation champions - the Wobblies are taking a bit of a thrashing at present - probably gunna lose to the All-Blacks again on Saturday - 5 losses on the trot. Send the Welsh - we have to beat someone soon!

Please be under no illusion Wales is the No 1 team to support. However in the case of Cricket, the English being scared that the welsh side will beat them (again) decided to include Wales in their team (they are so kind !)and they decided to call the Cricket board the England and Wales Cricket board.
Now this is really because they want players like Jonesie,to play for them.
Now this saturday when Wales play England in Cardiff at soccer (World cup qualifiers), every Welshman in the world will be hoping for England to lose by at least 6, although this is unlikely we can always dream.
Shame you couldn't make it over here, you could have bought me that glass of water you promised me.
I wonder what master plan Ricky is coming up with to ensure his guys get as much rest during the game as England did last time. The final test will be a scorcher, you have to stay up all night and watch every over.

Its typical of the English ( no welsh involved I am sure) a victory parade before the victory..tempting fate if you ask me...
Anyway I think now Simon Jones is out, we should look for Rain late saturday and abandon the game monday....lol
Or this victory parade could be because we finally won a couple of games....lol

I suspect that, if it goes to Monday, you won't be the only person off work. And if the Poms win, it'll probably be declared a public holiday now, and for the next hundred years, anyway!
Here's hoping the Australians revert to their previous form - when test matches OCCASIONALLY went on to day 4 - but Day 5- forget it!
Everyone's saying tht this is the most important match in a generation. No pressure now!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god...you should read the papers, it's as though its a foregone conclusion.
Its the ENGLISH media they are the same with football, when Wales played England and lost the other night 1-0, the papers didn't even mention Wales, in fact it was as though there was no opposition, lol.
Every newscaster and celebrity has a ticket to the game and the normal cricket fan is struggling for a ticket unless it was bought 12 months ago.
Anyway bugger the media, its up to those guys on the field, but your right the pressure is probably immense.
After all it's the most important sporting activity since the 1966 world cup....lol
