As anyone stayed in Navini?

Has anyone stayed in Navini please? We are looking for somewhere to stay for 4 nights in December. We would like somewhere with a nice beach, somewhere we can snorkel but not somewhere we feel 'trapped' (i.e. we would like to be able to go and visit villages and see more than just the resort). We will be travelling with our 8 year old son.

I've posted previously about Navini - so of you do a search it should come up. In short - we've stayed there a number of times and love it because it is so small and personal. They have trips each day to either other islands or the local village or for reef snorkelling (the snorkelling off the beach is good as well) and will take you into Nadi for the day if you want. However the main reason we go is because it is quiet, small and friendly and we have no desire to leave at all! If you'd like any specific info please feel free to email me.

Thank you for your reply, I did find your previous post but I have a few more questions for you if you don't mind:
1) You say they have trips each day to either other islands or the local
village or for reef snorkelling, presumably you have to pay for these. How expensive is it? (we're only thinking of doing a 4 night stopover after 3 weeks in New Zealand and it seems we are going to spend more money than we anticipated!)
2) What is the food like? Is it advisable to purchase the meal plan?
3) We would be arriving in Nadi at 21.15, do think they would be able to
arrange our transfer then or would we have to wait until the next day?
I've emailed the resort and I'm currently waiting for them to get back to me.
Thanks for your help.

We've just heard from Navani resort and I think we are going to book! What's the best about money? do you have to pay for drinks, etc straight away or can you just settle the bill at the end of stay - in which case you probably don't need to take much cash with you?
Thanks. Odile

You can settle your bill at the end. They take all major credit cards - so apart from a little bit of cash for any purchases on a village trip you don't need cash. The trips to other resorts and snorklling are included in the cost- but there may be an extra charge for a trip to Nadi. I'm sure you've ssked them about the transfer at night - but just in case not - when we were there last they only did daylight transfers. Enjoy - we love it!

That's it, we've booked 4 nights at the Navini resort and their boats are now fully licensed to travel at anytime.
