Screwage should be the new term!

I have no issues with screw caps Bokhara, I prefer them to corks. I was just being a smart arse.

Never thought for a minute that you did, Melnq8. I think we should adopt "Screwage" too. Excellent term.

The cap's screwed off; we'll think we've been screwed if the wine's not worth the price and if we stay too long, we'll be saying "Screw it" about the parking ticket on our windscreens.

And no doubt there are other applications for the it, either as a verb, adverb or noun, which may follow said removal of screw cap and payment of screwage. I suppose it could also be said that "screwage" could appropriately be applied to other expenses between the dinner date and the divorce court.
