Accommodation search in Kerikeri

Recommendations wanted. My wife and I wish to find a cottage or small house in or near Kerikeri from mid January to mid March 2010. We are seniors seeking a quiet accommodation that is fully equipped in an uncrowded location in or near to Kerikeri. I would appreciate a web link with a full description including long term rates. Thanks.

I don't have a specific house to recommend in Kerikeri - but here is a link to a website I used to find a house we rented in Napier

Hi George,

I have the PERFECT spot for you! It's called Wharepuke - here's the website to check it out.

It's located just down at the bottom of the hill from town - all of a 5 minute drive. It's peaceful, the gardens are beautiful and looking at their website, it appears a new dog has joined Matai, their crazy Jack Russell who waits under the fig tree for a "ball" to drop and then runs up to you for a game of fetch!

When not self-catering, I recommend "Cilantro" restaurant, and if you like chowder - "Fishbone".

Hope this is helpful!

Thanks Melodie.

I will be doing some serious web searching this week end. Good to have local knowledge.

Welcome Woodie!

I'm not sure if by "local" you might think that I live in NZ; but just to set the record straight, I don't, I'm in Northern California.

Good luck searching the web, and I think you'll like their site.
