4 days or 2 day to recuperate after our trip to Australia?

We have an option of spending 15 or 17 days in Australia not including the days of travel from California to Australia. I really want to do the 17 days, but that leaves me only 2 days to recuperate. Is that enough?

2 days is plenty. That's all we had and we flew from Sydney to the East Coast. We also spent 17 days in Aussie and loved it!

Teresa,

My husband and i spent two weeks in Australia and only needed two days to recover. We were in Oz long enough to go through a little jet lag and adjust to their time so we did need those two days to get back to the swing of things (we live in CA as well). You should be fine! Spend all the time you can in Australia!

I live in California too, and I suffer terribly from jet lag. However, Australia is such a wonderful place, I recommend staying there for the 17 days. You may not be completely over your jet lag in two days, but the extra time in Australia will more than compensate.

Thanks everyone for your responses. You helped me decide to go for 17 days and I'm going to book the flights today. Now I just need to nail down the itinerary.

Teresa, you made the correct decision. You won't be sorry. The body will mend in due time. You are going to wish you had more than the 17 days in Australia when that 17th day arrives.
