Worth it to stay overnight at Novotel Suvarnabhumi?

Hey all,

We will arrive at BKK at 11:05 PM (23:05) on August 12. We have an 08:05 AM flight out to Phuket the next morning.

Is it worth it to book a night at the Novotel (for $150+ USD)? How much time would we really have to sleep and freshen up?

I appreciate any tips!

I would do it - not sure where you are coming from but if you get some sleep on your flight, the 5-6 hours you get will be just right. It is 10 minutes via shuttle - ours left right away from the airport but others may have had delays. The opportunity to shower would be worth it to me...

We got in at 1:00 AM and had a 10:00 AM flight. Definitely worth it for us.

It's worth it to me. To get a nice shower and even a few hours of sleep in a comfortable bad sure helps after a long flight. Note that you can often get this hotel for less on www.agoda.com, but also check the Sofitel website.

Some flights to Phuket leave from Don Muang too. If flying from Don Muang plan on an hour to get to Don Muang from Suvarnabhumi by road.

You could also spend a couple days in Bangkok too. Then at your leisure fly to Phuket.

There are cheaper hotels not that far from Suvarnabhumi. There are also later flights you can use allowing you to stay longer in the Novotel.

Up to you.
