Have you posted about your adventures in Sri Lanka since Feb 18 and I've missed it? Or have you two been naughty and gone to parts unknown without telling us?
Hope you're having a great time. I'm trying to finalize my SL itinerary and am eager for your input. I'll post my proposed plan tonight.

Craig reported in from BKK and said that they would be internet-less for several days while in SL. He always writed very detailed reports. I'm sure he will do so upon his return. He's one of the few upon whom the penalty can actually be both levied and collected.

Robbie, his last post was from the Kandalama. He will be without internet until he gets back to Bangkok.

i sent him a personal e mail and he has not responded so i suspect they must still be in SL....so later in the week we should hear from them....

I would be glad to relinquish the position. I tried to pawn it off on Femi, but she was having none of it. The only requirement is an iron fist in a silk glove and a jester's cap. It's the last one that winnows out many of the applicants.

P.S. I was ok with the jester's cap. It was a fine replacement for my Vietanamese 'kitty' hat.

Luckily, there is almost no chance that Craig (or Jeanne for that matter) will require an assessment of penalty. His reports are timely and delightful.

As much as my stick-to-it-ness (sure it's not stick-it-to-you-ness?) may give the appearance of a likely candidate, my laziness, rather my languidness, far outweighs those benefits.

Ok, kids - we are here in the biz lounge at Colombo Airport. Lots to report - allow me a couple of days to get my thoughts together - suffice to say it was a great trip and took tons of photos. C&J

In answer to the title of the thread, we are now in Singapore Airport (2-1/2 hour layover). The Johnny Black at the biz class lounge is fine in case you were wondering.

Now that we are out of Sri Lanka, I can say that we managed to avoid any bombings - we understand that there was one in Colombo while we were there. However, Colombo is a fairly vast city so I really wouldn't worry if you plan on going. Our guide (more on this later) feels the situation will be "settled" shortly. Our families, I think are glad that we are out of "harm's way". Next post (probably when you are all awake) from Bangkok.

Now at Suvarnabhumi (Bangkok airport) for a 5 hour layover - great showers in Terminal C Biz Class lounge (there are actually 2 lounges in terminal C) - all set for the 17 hour trip home - will start new thread with trip report shortly.
