What to have custom made in Thailand?
A question for the Thailand frequent visitors...namely, what to have custom made over here? For context, I lived in Thailand for 2 years but am currently back on a 2-week vacation. A few yes or no thoughts to generate discussion.
1. Suits...a definite yes and I have already made my order for this trip from a shop that I consider truly elite when compared to the U.S.
2. Woodwork goods?
3. T-shirts...I'm 6'8'' and would love to get some custom embroidered t-shirts made if I could find the shirts here - but so far no luck
4. Shoes?
5. Other?

A friend has had several pairs of boots (cowboy style) made. He swears by them. He has all kinds of exotic skins, and he says they all fit like a glove and are very comfortable.
I doubt that you would find the tshirts in your size. They could be custom made, I'm sure, but finding the fabric might be the problem.

leather is generally not up to snuff in quality....cowboy type boots are good because of the interesting skins available....sometimes a problem with some countries' custom regs however...
suits....but shirts are the real bargain and for someone tall like you i should think they would be a bonnazza...long sleeves that fit you perfectly....
we had a fouton cover made two years ago...so cheap...
bathrobes, pj's, casual jackets, sports jackets, pants
jewerly, primarily gold and saphires and rubies...
wooden things but one has to be aware that they may crack in dryer climates if the wood was not cured properly...

I just had made 2 lg, 3 sm drapes and 3 cushions total with Jim Thompson silk (factory outlet)and labor $350. Tell them at Julie's that Gale Carson told you about them
