Travel within Thailand
We are doing our next trip to Thailand in January, and need a some help on travel within. Our trip is:
BKK - Siem Reap -> see Angkor Wat
SR - Krabi (via BKK) -> Tubaak Resort
then catching the Star Clipper in Phuket.
So our big question is what is the best way to get from Krabi to Phuket? I had heard that there were flights avail, but I can't find any. Also, is there no airline that goes to both SR, Krabi and Phuket return? Please help !

It is an easy 2 1/2 hour drive from Krabi to Phuket. When you're in Krabi, just go into any of the multitude of places advertising tours. They will be able to set you up with a driver. If your resort in Krabi is isolated, try in town.

The ferry is a choice but it does take a long time.
If you DO opt for the ferry, make sure that you stay near an exit or on the top deck. You may get a bit wet but at least you will be safe.
In the cabin there are absolutely NO exits!! The ferry listed very far to the left and it was quite frightening. They tend to oeverload the ferries.

There are no flights Krabi to Phuket, there were, for a very short time many years ago but they stopped fast, whover told you about flights or wherever you read it was wrong or terribly out of date.
By road it depends where in krabi you are and which beach you are heading to on Phuket so 2.5 to 3 hrs would be average and that's what it takes me and I don't do more than 100/120.

It depends on which part of Phuket one is going. We went from the Sheraton Krabi to Phuket airport in 2 1/2 hous. If one was farther south in Krabi and/or farther south in Phuket, it might take 3 1/2 hours. The drive is actually quite pleasant until you get to the main road in Phuket.

We are staying at the Tubkaak Resort which is located (supposedly on its own beach called Tubkaak beach) close to Klong Muang Beach. It is far west of Krabi Town. For the Star Flyer which is a large 4 masted sailing ship, I assume that we are going to the main harbor/port in Phuket. Are there multiple harbors?
