Tokyo 2010 - photographs

Just got back from a short trip to Tokyo - mostly for business, but also managed to get some time to do some photography. Tokyo is such a large place that it's impossible to see in just a few days, I think one must have at least 10-15 days to cover everything in this huge metropolis.

Anyway I hope you will enjoy the photographs Here is the gallery - http://www.pbase.com/olegis/tokyo

Have fun,
Oleg.

CANON EOS 5D MKII.
Nice to see that you got YODOBASHI CAMERA store in that photo.
What part of Tokyo was that shop?
I lived there for 5 years as well in the 90's. Spent a lot of $$ with Yodobashi

Thanks, emd3 and gearsau !

I used my old Canon EOS 10D at first but then I went to Yodobashi camera shop (I didn't mean to spend any money there) and when I got out I was holding brand new 5DMk2+24-105mmf4L IS kit ! The price was much lower than prices where I live so I couldn't resist the temptation

Yes, Yodobashi does have its temptations. I lived in Tokyo, and,Yodobashi was about 30 minutes or so from my apartment Used to frequent the place all the time on the weekends. Not just for camera gear, but, also for stereo equipment as well.

Hate to think how much money I have spent at Yodobashi since I first visited Japan in 1988...

Great photos! Where are the best places for seeing the city lit up at night?

Orcas, go to the top of Tokyo Tower after dark to see the city lit up. It is great.

Shinjuku is beautiful after sunset with all the neon lamps. Also, the Rainbow bridge is spectacular at night.

Very nice photos. You have a good eye. I took a reasonable camera to Japan last year, but came away with very ordinary photos.
