The Racha and Indigo Pearl
We are a 30 something couple traveling to Thailand in late October/early November. We were planning on spending 6-7 days at a resort near Phuket and the remainder of our trip in Bangkok. We were having trouble deciding between The Racha and Indigo Pearl, but ultimately decided to split our time between the two. However...we recently read about about Phi Phi and now aren't sure HOW to divide our time! We're adventurous and enjoy the nightlife, but also cherish quiet time and are looking for some breathtaking views/beaches. Good food is also a must with us. We can sometimes plan an entire day around food! Any advice from anyone that has been to any of these places? What were your experiences?
Thank you so much to anyone who can help us: )

We have spent some time at all three !!!
Most notably at the latter.
6-7 days.......I would say go for just one of your options.
As for which? Well, all three are quite different. It depends on your tastes.
Posh dining, rustic dining......breathtaking views/beaches......nightlife......good food? cordon bleu or private barbecue on the beach?
My preference is well known here !
All of your choices are top notch.
Is good snorkeling important to you?
Most notably at the latter.

Thanks for the response!
No...snorkeling isn't that important to us. As far as dining goes...it's not the atmosphere so much as the food itself. We'll go anywhere as long as it tastes good! The idea of a barbecue on the beach does sound nice, however. Based on your experiences...if you had to pick one option, what would it be, and why?

We were disappointed with Indigo Pearl. Service not great, general maintenance shabby, and it felt very much like a large hotel with lots of people. Didn't do it for us.
The Racha.....first class in every way.....but just too expensive for us to visit often.
Phi Phi ?
Well that's our well known favorite, away from the madness that is the main village.
Too quiet for many, but good food, though limited dining options. And of course, the big draw for me......fabulous beaches with off beach snorkeling.
If money is not a problem though and given what you,ve already stated.......I would say go for The Racha.

Hmmm...something to think about.
Any comments on the weather for late October? We hesitated to go with Phi Phi because if the main draw is the beach...and the weather is terrible...you get my point.
We were aiming for a place that had some other options just in case the weather wasn't agreeable.
Thanks again!
