THANK YOU BKK FODORITES !!!
Big thank you to MichaelBKK, carol simpson, kathie, rhkkmk, lcuy and dogster.
You may recall that I asked many questions when organising a short stay in BKK for my 22 year old daughter Clara.
Well, tomorrow is her last day there, before returning to Sydney, and she is absolutely thrilled with Bangkok, the hotel and activities which you recommended.
She did a cycling tour yesterday(19 June) - see the link under the heading of Daily Biking Pictures 19 JUNE 2008 ABC PRIVATE DAY TOUR http://www.realasia.net/
Michael Hoes, the owner, organised for her to cycle with two Thai girls her age and she even got a flower garland to celebrate her birthday. She loved cooking lunch during the tour.
Initially she was to stay at Siam@Siam but it was booked out on one of the required nights so she is staying at the Grand Sukhumvit Sofitel recommended by Carol. She said that the buffet breakfast was so bountiful that she did not feel like eating till the evening. She is realy enjoying staying at the hotel.
She also went to Charlie's and visited the main sights and had a couple of massages.
So all in all she is having a grand time to which your advice has undoubtedly contributed. - so thanks again
