Thailand/Laos Panda Photos

Here are our photos from our recent trip. Most are from Luang Prabang (not technically in Thailand) and our day with Tong:

BTW, shutterfly has a numerical limit and we cut out tons of tiger pictures.

The Luang Prabang photos bring back fond memories. Maybe you should consider another site if you plan to post lots of photos - there are many out there. We found smugmug.com to be excellent.

No, we don't want more photos. In fact, the limitation was probably a favor in disguise.

Enjoyed your photos! I especially liked the photo of the tiger walking you... and you kissing the bear (perhaps you are kissing cousins?).

The photos of LP brought back fond memories.

Of course, the bear would kiss a panda bear. Irresistable are all pandas.

Nice pictures Gpanda! Lucky you didn't wear your red sox clothes at the temple, the tigers would have mauled you.

Great pictures...makes me even more excited to visit Tiger Temple!

It's also nice to put a face with a name...even if it is just a screen name!

Wonderful photos! I especially like 1096 and 1140 of the tigers. Now I really want to go to the tiger temple!

On close inspection, one can see that when Beth and the Tiger are in the same picture, Beth is balanced for a quick getaway. Reminds me of Snaglepuss, "Exit stage left".

Who is the Asian woman in the photos- is she Tong?
If we want to do the Tiger Temple- is it a day long trip? How far away and what is the cost?

Thanks

Bill-yes, the asian woman is Tong. her rates are 3000 Baht for a 10 hour day. The TT is a decent ride from BKK. It could easily be combined with a visit to the Floating market (very good with Tong), the River Kwai stuff or a visit to the forest Orphanage. More can be combined for a day longer than 10 hours, but Tong charges for overtime. There is also a gas surcharge.

Don't remember, so it must have been relatively small. If you think of it as a per picture charge, it's de minimis. No extra charge for the bear. Also, they do support the tigers et al. with the entrance fees.
