Thai Airways nonstop flight JFK to BKK
I just got a business class flight on this via US Air frequent flyer -- only 90,000 miles. I'm very excited. It leaves at noon and arrives at 4:30 the NEXT day. Only 17 1/2 hours in the air.
Does anyone know what the business class seats are like (I read on flyer talk that they will be flat but that's all I know) and what a good seat would be? I gather this flight does not have first class so the business class is very large.
Thanks

I've been looking out for the arrival of the new 340-500's but nothing on the horizon, though I did see an unidentified photo ( rkwan I guess you know this site ) on www.just-planes.com, a wild guess that could be on the tail of one of the new aircraft still being finished. There is bound to be local info once photos and details of seating are available, the moment I see anything I'll post.

www.seatexpert.com has seating charts but not the Airbus 340-500 yet. Email them from the site and they might put up a seating chart if it is available. Aloha!

It doesn't help to know the seating plans of other airline's plane, even if it's the same model.
Just wait until the plane is in service, and then check the appropriate forum at www.flyertalk.com.

gloriaf, thanks for the tip on the 90,000 miles with US Air on Thai's non-stop. It is a real bargain compared to all others (assuming they are still around to get me to NYC on my US Air flight....) Apparently business class is 90,000 miles via the Pacific and 105,000 via Europe. I looked at the Thai website and they seem to indicate 3 fare levels with business being the top one. AirCanada's website shows the flat seats on the 345 so you may want to look at that also.
