i can suggest a couple/////..for silk items and mostly woman stuff in the river city shoppin center next door to the sheraton is JS Thai silk...ground floor near the up escalator and across for the info booth....great stuff all made on the property...there are many other places in this mall, but i have not used any of them...some are very aggressive...at thai silk ask for ms yai...tell her bob and karen sent you..

at the marriott down the river, in the mall attached on the upper level is monet il sarto...his name is jack and he is fabulous and reasonable....they have a sister store in the shangri-la hotel i believe....you could ask him about it...you can easily take the free marriott boat from the pier next to the sky train stop (taskim pier)...he will come to you for fittings if you wish...also tell him karen and bob sent you...
see their site: www.monetilsarto.com

you will be delighted with anything he does for you...you must go to him immediately upon arrival however to assure that things can be made...he is usually there from about 10AM-8PM give or take...call for an appointment if you are not sure....send an e-mail

I have also used JS Thai and can also recommend her. However, I like "Cotton House" even more. They are in Oriental Place (the shopping plaza near the Oriental Hotel). They do superb work. A lot of embassy people go there and she is now also doing dresses for a boutique on rodeo drive in LA. And she is very reasonable. She does not have as much thai silk as some other places but there are plenty of shops for that. She does have a lot of wool, cotton, raw silk and chinese and japanese (softer than thai) silk.

My ex had a number of shirts and suits and a tux made at "Bauman's" which is just across the skybridge from the Royal Orchid in River City shopping center. Very convenient if you're staying at the Royal Orchid.
