Shangri-la Bangkok
Oops! posted on wrong board!
Quick question: (for some reason my search on the forum for this hotel comes up with very little..I think I may be doing something wrong
It is the Krungthep wing that is the renovated more desirable wing, is this true? Or is it the Shangri-la wing. Confused, virtual tour and photos on site not loading and trying to book thanks!

The Shangri-la wing was renovated in 2003. The Krungthep wing and Chi Spa are slated for renovation this year or next year I have read in a trade paper. After renovation, the Krungthep wing will offer 24 hour butler service, and the Chi Spa will have 12 treatment rooms (now 9), according to the report.

The Krungthep wing has nicer and i think a bit bigger rooms. The bathrooms are much better than the Shangri-la wing.
If you will be using the sky train alot, than it is just outside of the Krungthep wing.
this wing is also much quieter, and offers full front view of the river.
