Looking at taking advantage of cheap air next week. I am a woman traveling alone, lots of travel experiene. Need suggestions for great hotels in good areas that won't break the bank!

We stayed at the J W Marriot at Tomorrow Square. The location was great, as we walked to almost all our destinations. The only drawback is that you have to go up two different sets of elevators to get to the hotel.

There are tons of good hotels in Shanghai and they all have very good prices. Just decide what areas of town you want to be in. I have stayed very often in the Intercontinental Puxi (near the Shanghai Train Station), the HongDa on Dong Feng Road in Pudong, Equatorial (near the Hilton in Jing'An area - near the Jing'An temple)....All good. You may stay in Jinjiang Inn in Nanjing east road which has good location and inexpensive price.
