Hi,

has anyone stayed at the new Sala Samui resort? In Ko Samui, its at http://www.salasamui.com

It looks fabulous, but its nice to know someone else has visited first.

Cheers

I have never been there, all I know is that lots of people are asking about if, I can only pressume it is new and hence not many(if any) reviews around.

Richard, we are staying at Sala Samui for 7 nights in October. There are several reviews on tripadvisor.com for this hotel.

Cheers,
Jim

The people on the tripadvisor board cannot stop raving about this place. It seems to be everyone's new favorite. They say that the personal pools puts this place way above anything else.

I just hope too many people don't start loving this place. We are spending 8 days there as part of our honeymoon next June, and I don't want the rates to go up or it to be too crowded!

The general consensus is that the place is fabulous, but the spa is overpriced and the restraunt good, but expensive. No rooms, except the presidential, have an ocean view. The pools are spectacular. The beach is pretty quiet, but somewhat rockey in places. There are good restaurants and such within walking distance down the beach. The outdoor bathrooms are supposedly great.

So, will some fodorite please go here soon and take tons of pictures and share every detail with the rest of us? I search about once a week on the different boards to see if there is any new review of the place.

I am staying at the Sala Sumui in October for 4 nights, decided to try the Sala Villa. My only thoughts are that everything is white and how long will it stay looking pristine white and not drab. Can't wait to stay there though, happy to report back.
