Recommended shots/immunizations?
I will be traveling with a tour on a 25-day tour through Thailand/Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam. Besides a Hep A/B shot and anti-diarrhea pills, does anyone suggest any other shots for this trip?
Thanks!

The general answer to your question is to make sure all of your routine vaccinations are up to date (tetanus, measles/mumps/rubella) and consider typhoid. The pills are effective for 5 years, the typhoid shot for just 2 years. Also consider a flu shot, as SE China is the "incubator" for new flu strains.
Talk with your doctor about taking along an antibiotic "just in case." The doctor should give you specific instructions about when to use it. Also, carry some rehydration salts with you.

For some areas of SE Asia (for instance, Thailand and Nepal) , Cipro is not the antibiotic of choice, azithromycin or Levaquin are. This info is on the cdc website, but it is buried in a technical article for health care professionals.
