Rayavadee on Krabi

Anybody been to Rayavadee on Krabi? We're considering a trip there in December '04 and would want to make sure that it is as luxurious as it sounds.

I haven't been there since it first opened, I would suggest you check recent reviews, you can find them on thie following site which is quite up to date, Klick for Krabi resorts/Hotels and then on 'reviews' in top left

http://www.freewebs.com/koh_samui_hotels/krabi.htm

If you want something cheaper you may care to look at the 'Tubkaak Resort', though not as great as the Rayavadee it offers a cheaper alternative.

We were there last January, had a great time. If you search the archives I posted a trip report in February, feel free to e-mail me if you have other questions. I booked directly through Starwood

We stayed there in July and had a wonderful time. Depending on what you are looking for, it can be extraordinarily relaxing or overpriced and pretentious. Whatever the case, the views are spectacular and the staff is very helpful and efficient. If you need to be in touch by e-mail, they have two in the library but the connection is painfully slow (via satellite to Phuket) Otherwise, there is plenty to see and do in and around the resort. If you have more specific questions, I'd be happy to respond. We even have some great photos

Curious....do they have any ocean view accomodations? I can't seem to tell from the Web descriptions I've seen so far.

There were some but I don't remember which units they were. We stayed in a villa with a private pool and fenced in area and our rate included meals and minibar as well as massages!
