Question about Delhi weather now. Just curious

I know how hot it can be in Delhi during the summer. I check the temps daily in the newspaper here just to see what my in-laws have to endure. However it seems that this summer the temps have been more moderate that usual. I see far less 100's and more hi 80's and 90's and very few scorchers like the 110-115 range that one usually sees. Can anyone comfirm this?

We were there two weeks in May, and it was very "cool" compared to the normal pre-monsoon weather. It even rained two of our days in Delhi. Quite unusual.

Look for weather sites that include "realfeel". Temp may be 85 but "feels like 95" kind of thing. I also have in-laws near Delhi. What they're having right now is heat, rains, and very high humidity. The rains came earlier this year they said.

We're debating going over there in August, but the fear of their kind of heat and humidity combo is intimidating. Plus most houses don't have A/C and there are frequent and long daily power cuts - at least in U.P.

June and July are usually the brutally hot months, but this year has had less of the 115 kind of daytime temps.

Thank you. I thought rainy season there was later in the summer. Has it come early this yr? It does seem like there are less triple digit temp days than usual.

Weather update from U.P., it's pouring rain for last several days. More rain than usual and all day.

FYI I just spoke to one of my nephews in Delhi who said its the coolest summer they have had in 70 yrs. He even said, most unusually they had rain in June. Very atypical.
