How hot and humidis Rajasthan in June?

Planning to go to Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur and perhaps Rambanthore in June. Plan on staying at the Oberoi and Aman properties. How hot is it and how much does it rain? Is it humid heat or dry? It seems from some of the websites that I visited that July and May are more wet than June and April as hot as July. I am confused. Anyway is it worth going? The rates in India seem to be a lot lower than anywhere else right now. Thank you.

That climate listing is because many places in India experience some pre-monsoon showers in May. That should not affect your site-seeing in any way. However, May and June are very hot in Rajasthan, but if you're staying at the Oberoy and Aman properties, that shouldn't matter....and since your trips in between are mostly likely to be in A/C vehicles, you'll be experiencing the climate only when you are actually in the attractions. The rates in India will be lowest at that time, since its off season. The monsoons reach Rajastan only at end of June...so if you plan your trip for end May- early June, you can probably beat the rains. Of course, the heat is still there!!

Depends really on what your agenda is. Ranthambore closes for the monsoon so may have to ditch that. If you wanted to do lots of sightseeing and outdoor stuff maybe the wrong time. On the other hand it maybe the only time of year you can comfortably afford aman and Vilas properties as they are VERY exp in season. Can you consider Sept? May get same rates but no rain and better weather.

Just keep in mind that ALL of the attractions you will want to see are outdoors and the temperature will be oppressive (ever been to Phoenix in July?).

Lets put it this way. Last year I was checking world temps and in Udaipur (Raj.) it was 117F on that particular day in May! My inlaws are Indian and its rough for them and they are used to it. Are you? My advice is to go in the fall or winter.

Thank you all for your responses. They were enough to change my mind and leave that trip till Feb? Is that when the weather is supposed to be good? So I have decided to go to Patagonia, June is still Fall there and apparently does not get that cold. Going to the Explora hotel which seems quite neat. Thanks!

Good plan. If you go in Feb. go early in the month. We left India last Feb. 11 and it was already hi 70's in Delhi then.

We were there in the last two weeks of February and the temperature topped at 80 degrees - one week after we left it was in the 90's.
