I see from another post that you are staying at the Royal Orchid Sheraton in Bangkok. This hotel and others similar to it would have a blow dryer in the bath so you wouldn't have to bring one at all.

Hi craig,
I wasn't asking for Bangkok, but I have rented a house on an island for a week and I don't know if they have a blow dryer. I hope I don't sound too vain and yes, I can live without a dryer if I have to!

The island is off of Phuket called Koh naka Yai. As of recenly there was only a small fishing village and the villa, but there are 3 new resorts in the midst of built. I just hope the weather will be nice the first week of May.
