Plugged in on Thai soil
Does anyone know if I can use my French blow dryer in Thailand? I know the American dryer won't work. Leaving on Sunday, so I hope to hear from you soon.

I see from another post that you are staying at the Royal Orchid Sheraton in Bangkok. This hotel and others similar to it would have a blow dryer in the bath so you wouldn't have to bring one at all.

Hi craig,
I wasn't asking for Bangkok, but I have rented a house on an island for a week and I don't know if they have a blow dryer. I hope I don't sound too vain and yes, I can live without a dryer if I have to! |
Can't help on the voltage side but electrical sockets are 2 pin ( no earthing pin ) so an adaptor should suffice.
|
You still haven't let us into the secret island name?

most dryers in france are 220 which is the same in thaland...the plug adapter is all you might need a conversion for

The island is off of Phuket called Koh naka Yai. As of recenly there was only a small fishing village and the villa, but there are 3 new resorts in the midst of built. I just hope the weather will be nice the first week of May.
