Phuket Tailors

Any suggestions for tailors in Phuket. Will be staying at the Le Meridien Yacht Club and would be interested in mens sport jacket and slacks and blazer for women. Thanks

Phuket is really not the best place for tailors. You are much better off doing this in Bangkok.

I can't recommend any as my 2 attempts/ventrues with tailors have both been disasters.

Try www.phuketgazette.net they have a long list, it's also a good source to familiarize yourself with Phuket in advance.

I would guess there will be one inside the Meridien or close by, in all resort areas there are just so many.
There are many tips of tailoring, try a search for those tips.

Don't do it!!

The tailors there don't really depend on repeat business - they cater to unsuspecting tourists who they will never see again.

Perhaps stop in Bangkok before you go to Phuket. Place your order. And pick-up your clothes on your way back from Phuket.

There are some good threads (no pun intended) here about getting great clothes made in Bangkok.

Thanks for all your replies. Sounds like we won't be getting anything made on this trip. We fly right into Phuket so unable to stop in BKK on the way. On the return we only have three days, and it sounds like you need many fittings. Understand about the no repeat business on Phuket, makes sense.

Haven't looked at the gazette lately.
I'll search for tailoring tips, just in case I get lucky.
