Peace Resort in Bophut
For those of you considering Peace Resort, this info might be helpful:
After exhaustive searching on the net for different online booking sites that listed Peace Resort, I saw that the vast majority of them were asking 4000 baht per night for a beachfront bungalow for next summer. (one was even asking 4600!?)
Frustrated, I tried merely typing in www.peaceresort.com at google, and sure enough, the resort has a website. But interestingly, it's not listed on any search engines.
I emailed the hotel directly ([email protected]) and heard back from them the same day. We've exchanged three correspondences so far, and each time they've gotten back to me within a few hours. This is reassuring!
AND, their beachfront bungalows can be had through them direct for only 3500 baht per night during high season (tax included). So I'm officially booked for a bungalow on the beach for August!!!
I compared the rates for all the bungalows, high and low season, and they're all between 300-500 bahts per night cheaper than all of the other advertised prices on the net.
The website was also helpful in that it has a map of the layout of the resort and placement of each bungalow, and it has a photo gallery with a wide variety of shots of the interiors, exteriors and pool. More detailed than I've seen anywhere else on the net.
Hope this helps!

I'll find out once I get my Master Card bill! (I just put down my deposit by fax two days ago)
This is the first time I'm actually as psyched about the lodging I'm staying at when travelling as the destination itself. Location location location!
