yes, I was in the first class at Olin. Sorry for the delayed response - just got back from Thailand! (trip report coming soon, I promise)
I loved Olin & the hands-on engineering curriculum, although I'm now pursuing mathematics instead of engineering, I wouldn't trade my time at Olin for anything.

lots of kids about my age who were taught in MA to read and spell were taught in a phoenetic way and have horrid problems today....of course as andy will point out i still can't read....in MD where he grew up they only had mensa candidates and most of them work in government today and look where we are at...and i don't mean just the last 8 years!!
