Bob,
Great photos. I do wonder, however, if Swenson's paid some kind of promotional fee. And, one of your photos is simply hilarious. Everyone will have to scroll through them all to find it. Tengo

Good photos Bob. It's nice that you were able to meet up with so many Fodorites and we are able to put names with faces now!
When we were in KL in '98 people were not allowed to go up in the towers so it was interesting to see your view from the 41st floor.
Looks like you got to stay in some very nice hotels along the way too. Looking forward to seeing the one in Bali.

Thanks Bob- I'm guessing Melaka was not the high point of your trip?

kuantan is where we are sort of neutral about

Great pictures thanks for sharing. Looks like you had an enjoyable trip.

If you don't mind, where did you most enjoy staying on this two month journey?

Bob: Thanks for a wonderful report, I've taken note of some helpful details. And thanks to Andy for the indispensable heckling.

favorite place...that would be places....the only place we would not return to is kuantan probably...

my favorite hotel room is a tie: pool facing room on high floor at phuket meridien and the upper floor, gannga room, at vila shanti, ubud, bali...

I strongly suspect the POB means that he enjoyed the room at the Alam Shanti in Ubud. This is the hotel at which he actually stayed. The Villa Shanti is a figment of his imagination. However, it's this type of "creative" reporting that separates Bob from those of us mired in reality.
