Overnight at Changi
I have a flight that arrives into Singapore at 1 AM and my connecting flight is at 7:30 AM. This means I have almost 6.5 hours at Changi, overnight. Kind of sucks, but this is the best rate I could get.
I was wondering if y'all can tell what my options are at Changi to spend the night - a lounge where I can stretch my legs and maybe a take a shower (and catch 2-3 hours of sleep) might be ideal. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Rahulum, you posted another thread today, just a few minutes after you posted this one, which says you have a flight into Singapore which arrives at 8:30 am and departs at 6 pm, see http://www.fodors.com/community/asia...e-187764-2.cfm. The post above gives completely different times for you layover. Before any of us spend time giving advice, can you clarify as to which is correct?

You might want to give the transit hotel a try. We stayed there - its basic but clean and fairly inexpensive:

You may have to actually call them to make a reservation.

There is a transit hotel, (not the Crown Plaza) which rents rooms in 4 or 6 hour blocks. I can't make Craig's link work, but I remember finding it on the Changi Airport website. I was able to email them for a reservation (but it's been a few years). Reserve as far in advance as possible, since it seems they are always full.

There are transit hotels in all three terminals. The ones in terminals two and three are Ambassador and terminal one is the Rainforest Lounge. Some of these can be booked in advance, but that may not be necessary. You can check Ambassador's web site here:

No. Stan, the rooms are very basic (as well as small). Clean, but very basic. I've stayed in them a number of times, each time when I was arriving in Singapore around midnight and flying out around 7 or 8. These basic rooms are perfect if you need a shower and a few hours of sleep after a long trans-Pacific flight before boarding an onward flight.
Any time I have longer, such as arriving at midnight and not flying out until afternoon, I get a hotel in the city.

Katie; We are returning ti Java next year and if the flight from HK is the same we will arrive at 11
0 PM local time in terminal 3. Our flight out of Singaore will be 10-11. are the beds and pillows comfortable enough to get 6-7 good hours of sleep. Clean and basic is good especially at about $50USD/night.
