October Weather in Thailand
October is our scheduled holiday for this year but it seems a rather rainy period in Thailand. Has anyone else been in October and how bad was the rain?
We are spending time in BBK and was going to Koh Sumui but now thinking of Hua Hin or Cham am as on the stats doesn't appear as much rain in October.
Talking of Hua Hin or Cham am has anyone been there, if so what is it like. I had set my heart on Koh Sumui but I can always come back another year.........
Thanks in advance.

The later you go the better. I had gorgeous weather once in Bangkok in late October. I know others who went in early October when it rained a lot every day. It varies. Generally it would only rain for a few hours every day but it could be worse or better. However,by mid-late October the weather is usually much better.

I've been to Hua Hin a couple of times. I loved teh Anantara there and did a sap package. I also liked the Hyatt (and the walk to the Chiva Som!). I prefer to be out of town, as I really don't like beach towns. But if you like to be in town, the Sofitel gets excellent reviews.
