Nov-Dec Airfares to Thailand

Plan to visit BKK and Northern Thailand and found the options listed below on my first airfare search:

China airlines: Honolulu - Bangkok: $751

China airlines: Honolulu - Chiang Mai, Bangkok -Honolulu: $839 (spend one night in Taiwan at airline expense on the in-bound leg)

No Honolulu-Chiang Mai RT on my requested dates

Are these good prices for this timeframe?

I'm leaning toward the Honolulu - Chiang Mai, Bangkok - Honolulu: $839 option, but wonder about the "hassle" of the overnight in Taiwan.

What websites/agencies might be good choices for travel to Thailand from Honolulu?

United was significantly more expensive.

degas, you are lucky, there are some regulars on this board who also live in Hawaii and do the same route so I am sure you will get plenty of advice, may I 'suggest' that if you copy your post and re-post under a heading of say:

Honolulu to Thailand fare options ?

Then those Hawaii regulars will spot the post, often many may just glance through the headings and might miss your post.

Thanks kuranosuke, I used up all my UA FF miles recently, so it looks like China air for me.
