Night Shopping in Bangkok?
Hello!
I have only one day in Bangkok and I would love to do some shopping this Friday afternoon/ evening. Since time is precious, what is the best night market? Looking for pottery, home decorations, I could be tempted to buy furniture and have it shipped back to the US, but I realize that is a big undertaking and teak furniture could crack... in theory it sounds like the ultimate souvenir!!

Thanks! What kind of stuff do they sell at Suan Lum? On a side note, what is the market for fakes like in Thailand? In China, I couldn't get away from all the touts hocking "guch" for gucci and "prada prada"

at that nite mkt they have a wide range of stuff....it is not like a regular market but is geared more towards tourists so you are more likely to find more things there than you might in a regualr market....when you don't have much time i find it the best place to go...

The shops close about 8pm but the night market (Suan Lum) is open until midnight. Best times are from 8pm to around 10 pm. The stalls start closing up around midnight. I found the Suan Lum night market better than the patpong one.
