Need Help with Silk Air question

I reserved a flight, on line, with Silk Air in October 08 to fly from Singapore to Manado in April 09. On the reservation, I used my Kris Flyer account number. (Silk Air operates one flight a day to Manado.) When I checked today, the flight I reserved was no longer listed and there is another flight, 4 hours earlier, with a different flight number. Sometime between the time I made the reservations and now, Singapore Air cancelled my account due to inactivity so I am unable to log into the bookings at Silk Air. I emailed Singapore Air and received no response. I have also emailed an inquiry to Silk Air three times with no response so I finally bit the bullet and called. Waiting for a real person, I was on hold for 14 minutes at $5.00/minute so finally gave up and hung up. I now have a $70.00 telephone bill and still don’t know what to do. I don’t know if I should just wait until I get there and hope that we have seats on the new flight or if I should just spend more money to call again. Any guesses from you frequent travelers?

Why not call the Singapore Air office in your country? I don't know where you are, but Singapore Air has offices in many countries. Perhaps someone at SIngapore Air can re-activate you Kris Flyer account, but in any case they should be able to chack on your Silk Air reservation.

Hi Kathy
I live in the USA and I did call Singapore Air in California. They told me they couldn't help me that I had to telephone Silk Air.

Why are you paying $5.00 a minute? I use Pioneer Telephone for long distance, and it would cost me 5 cents a minute to call Singapore. Of course, I still have a land line phone....
