Need 3-4 Star Hotel within 10 minutes of Bali Airport
In our travelers through Indonesia we will have need a hotel near the airport just for 1 overnight.. We would arrive at the hotel at about 4:30 and will have to be back at the municipal vs. the international airport (but they ususually are right next to each other) at 10:15 AM the next day.
Therefore, a very comfortable room, not too small because we have luggage for 4 weeks,a comfortable king bed with attractive enough furnishings and good air conditions would fit the boill. It would be great if it had a terrific restaurant or was within a 1-2 block walk of 2-3 good restaurants for a $15-$20/person meal. We were hoping to spend about $125-$140 +tax. Any good ideas? Thanks. Marmot I bet you have some.

All of the Southern beach areas are relatively close to the airport, the difference between the closest, Jimbaran, and the farthest, Sanur, being only about 15 to 20 minutes. There are plenty of choices for a one night fast in and out, moderate price range, though they tend to be lacking in Balinese personality.
I like the Royal Beach Seminyak Bali for a nice mid-size resort, right on the beach, very accessible to shops and restaurants. The new W that’s due to open in Seminyak in April/May would be another good choice. Seminyak is about 20-30 minutes door to door to the airport.
In Jimbaran, the Intercontinental is an old stand-by. Jimbaran is most airport convenient, but aside from the seafood BBQs on the beach (which many people like) not a lot of restaurant choices. Either Hyatt – in Sanur or Nusa Dua -- would also be appropriate: reliable, nice grounds, several restaurants.
The domestic terminal is adjacent to the international terminal. The check-in process should be faster since there’s no immigration, but the domestic airport is quite disorganized so allow some extra time.
