Gilli t to Bali (Denpasar airport)

Hi ! Just after a bit of advice!... I finish a Bali tour in Gilli T on the 18th Feb...but I need to check in for my flight home to London at 23:00 that same evening . What is the transfer time between Gilli T and Denpasar, will I need to leave the tour a day early ? ...And also does anyone know the best way to do this journey . Thank you in advance

You should be able to -transit from Gili T to Denpasar airport on the same day as your 2300 checkin, but you may feel more comfortable if you spent Thursday night in Bali. Sanur would be the most convenient, but Ubud and Seminyak are also doable.

If you do decide to make the trip in one day, be sure to give yourself plenty of leeway as delays are common, especially during the rainy season.

I haven't done this for some time so I can't give you a recommendation for the best service or travel times. There are a LOT of different boats, fast boats and ferries. Some are better than others so read reviews. Your resort in Lombok or your tour operators would be the best source of information. They should be able to reservations to.

I believe the best arrangement from Gili T to Bali, either Sanur or Padang Bai. The travel time for the boat trip varies, depending on the route and the type of vessel. Avoid the public ferries.

Once you arrive in Bali you can take a taxi to the airport, about 2.0 hours from Padang Bai or 40 minutes from Sanur.

Alternately, you can take a boat from Gili T to Lombok then a taxi to Lombok airport, and fly from Lombok airport to Bali/Denpasar airport. Once you arrive at DPS you have to transfer from the domestic to the international airport so allow some extra time. You should be able to check your bags through from Lombok to London (or your final destination), but you need to reconfirm this.

Potentially tricky domestic travel in order to meet an international connection on the same day can be a stressful affair. Travel the day before, and enjoy your final night close to the airport.
