Thanks for the latest postings. Looks like I don't need to rush at this time to get a visa. I actually need to send in my passport next week to get it renewed. It expires in December.

I will definitely bring various types of medication and possibly an inhaler just in case.

I purchased my airline tickets the other day (non-stop to Beijing and on the return a stop in Japan). Will most likely wait till I get to Beijing to buy my inter-China tickets.
